Welder/Fabricator

Description Core Industrial Maintenance is seeking an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join our team of skilled tradespeople. We are looking for a dependable, safety-minded individual with experience in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding and a strong understanding of proper welding techniques and applications in an industrial environment.

This position involves working in a variety of shop and field environments.

Responsibilities

Perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on a variety of metals and materials. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding specifications. Fit, fabricate, assemble, and repair metal structures, piping, and components. Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, beveling, fitting, and cleaning prior to welding. Use rigging equipment, hoists, and cranes to safely position and secure materials.

Perform pipe fitting, threading, and welding for industrial projects. Inspect completed welds for quality, accuracy, and proper workmanship. Operate welding machines, grinders, saws, cutting equipment, and other fabrication tools. Use tape measures, calipers, levels, squares, and other measuring instruments to maintain accurate dimensions.

Follow all company and customer safety policies and procedures. Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized condition.

Qualifications

Previous welding experience in an industrial, fabrication, construction, or maintenance environment. Experience with MIG, TIG, and Stick welding . Ability to read and understand blueprints and fabrication drawings. Strong fitting, fabrication, and measurement skills. Pipe welding and stainless steel experience is a plus.

Ability to work independently and as part of a crew. Willingness and ability to travel frequently to customer locations. Must be able to work safely in industrial environments and follow site-specific safety requirements.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years Welding experience in an industrial setting
• Knowledge of industry standard concepts, practices, and procedures
