The ideal candidate for this position will be a proven leader skilled in operations, interagency coordination, teambuilding, and staff development, with experience managing competing priorities, strengthening operational readiness, and guiding teams during steady-state and response operations.
What will I do in this position if hired? In this position, you will serve as a Supervisory Emergency Management Specialist. Typical assignments include: Leading and managing the Operations Integration Branch responsible for supporting Regional Response Coordination Center (RRCC) readiness and operations by coordinating with Emergency Support Functions (ESFs), regional program areas, and interagency partners to ensure response activities are aligned, integrated, and effectively executed during steady-state and incident operations.

Planning and scheduling work to be accomplished by subordinates. What else do I need to know? The qualification requirements listed below must be met by the closing date of this announcement. To qualify for this position at the GS-14 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position.
Experience may be obtained in the federal government, a state or local government, or private sector, and must demonstrate the following: Leading disaster readiness and operations, including coordination with Emergency Support Functions (ESFs), regional program areas, and interagency partners; AND Supporting training and qualification processes to ensure personnel are prepared for operational requirements; AND Managing competing deadlines across multidisciplinary teams supporting operational activities.
