Kitchen Assistant (Dishwashing Focus) As a Kitchen Assistant (Kitchen Porter) at Sprout, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our kitchen running smoothly and safely. This role is primarily focused on dishwashing and kitchen cleaning, making sure chefs and the wider team always have clean equipment to work with. You may also support with light prep and general kitchen tasks.

You don’t need previous experience — what matters most is a positive attitude, reliability, and pride in keeping things clean and organised. Reporting to: General Manager Contract: Full-time & Part-time available Pay: €14.15 per hour Availability (Important) Preferred shift: Afternoon / evening — 1:00pm to 10:00pm Weekend availability required, with shifts starting from 7:00am What You’ll Be Doing Dishwashing & Cleaning (Main Responsibility) Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment efficiently and safely Keep the dishwashing area clean, organised, and running smoothly Hygiene Hero Follow daily and weekly cleaning checklists Ensure all kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment meet Sprout’s hygiene standards Kitchen Support Help with basic food prep (washing veg, simple tasks) when required Support chefs and the wider kitchen team during busy periods Food Safety & Health & Safety Follow food safety, hygiene, and allergen procedures at all times Work with the GM to maintain a safe and well-organised kitchen Team Support Jump in where needed, especially during peak service times Who You Are Reliable & Hardworking – You show up on time and take pride in doing your job well Detail-Oriented – You notice the little things and care about cleanliness Team Player – Happy to support others and work as part of a close-knit team Positive Attitude – Brings good energy, even during busy shifts What We’re Looking For No previous experience required — full training provided Good level of English – Able to understand instructions and communicate with the team Pride in cleanliness – You enjoy keeping things spotless and organised Flexibility – Comfortable working evenings and weekends
