Key Responsibilities

Greet, receive, and prepare patients for ultrasound procedures. Other modalities may apply if appropriately certified. Assess and document patients' conditions to determine proper handling and any special requirements. Review requisitions for physician notes, clinical information, and/or special instructions. Instruct and assist patients in assuming the appropriate physical position for examinations.

Help ensure a positive patient experience at all PMI facilities while upholding the company's commitment to patient satisfaction. Adhere to procedure protocols established by the Medical Director and/or physician performing the procedure. Perform high-quality ultrasound examinations as ordered by referring physicians.

Follow and enforce ultrasound safety procedures to provide a safe environment for patients and staff. Safety procedures for other modalities may apply when appropriately certified. Maintain ultrasound equipment and examination rooms in proper working condition. Report equipment malfunctions and necessary repairs to management.

Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Minimum Requirements Must be available to work the 12:00 PM–9:00 PM shift. 2–3 years of previous ultrasound experience preferred. ARDMS and RVT credentials for ultrasound, or registry eligible. Ability to perform the essential duties of the position. Ability to read, understand, speak, and follow instructions in English; bilingual skills are preferred.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact professionally and compassionately with patients, coworkers, and providers. Strong knowledge of ultrasound procedures, protocols, and techniques. Complete competency in standard precautions, aseptic technique, venipuncture, and contrast administration.

Mental & Emotional Requirements Ability to manage stress appropriately in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Ability to manage time efficiently and maintain an organized workflow. Ability to handle multiple responsibilities and prioritize effectively. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Ability to work effectively in close proximity to others in a medical office environment. Ability to understand and carry out instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form.
