Housekeeper

Job Details: Salary Range: Undisclosed, The primary purpose of your job position is to perform the duties necessary to ensure the facility is kept clean, sanitary, and free of debris, and to assist with all phases of housekeeping duties. DUTIES Keep assigned areas clean, sanitized, and free of debris. Clean floors as assigned.

Change/count linen as assigned and document. Sanitize bathrooms as assigned and document accordingly. Keep cleaning cart stocked at all times and request needed supplies. Clean and empty vacuums as needed, clean floor and cleaning equipment after each use. Check housekeeping request sheet on assigned unit daily and perform requested duties.

Ensure all beds have appropriate covering. Supervise volunteers assigned to housekeeping. Clean and sanitize rooms and bathrooms of discharged clients on day of discharge. Report any situations which have the potential of negatively affecting the health, safety and well being of clients or staff to the Director of Operations.

KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY: Demonstrate ability to follow written instructions. Demonstrate general knowledge in cleaning and sanitizing procedures. Demonstrate ability to perform assigned duties with minimal supervision. Demonstrate ability to learn through experience. Possess good oral and written communication skills. Adhere to facility policies and procedures.

Demonstrate good interpersonal relationship skills with clients and staff members. Performs assigned duties and responsibilities in a timely manner. Possesses the ability to control problem situations in a calm and directive manner. Possesses the ability to establish and maintain rapport with the clients. Demonstrates warmth, realness and empathy.

Willing to upgrade knowledge and skills through continued education and training.

Qualifications

High School or GED required. Current driver's license with reliable transportation Minimum of six (6) months housekeeping experience. If in a program of substance abuse recovery, must have a minimum of one (1) year continuous sobriety.
