--- Position Summary This position is responsible for performing maintenance activities with a primary focus on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, repair, and support. The role also involves assisting with a variety of general maintenance tasks as required to support overall plant reliability and performance. The candidate will demonstrate strong mechanical background, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to supporting preventive maintenance (PM) objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment, including motors, pumps, pneumatic tools, conveyors, mixers, filling equipment, and production machinery.
- Perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Apply thorough knowledge of mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Assist with basic electrical repairs as needed.
- Follow directions from maintenance manager while remaining self-motivated and goal-oriented.
- Support and contribute to the company’s preventive maintenance (PM) program.
- Communicate repair status clearly to manager and complete all required documentation.
- Participate in a rotating call-out schedule.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Understanding of lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred.
- maintenance experience required, ideally in a manufacturing or chemical processing environment.
- knowledge of mechanical systems, pumps, conveyors, motors, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
- Proficiency in repairing equipment to OEM specifications and tolerances.
- Ability to complete detailed maintenance and repair documentation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Experience repairing and replacing electrical components.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Basic knowledge of Asset essentials or the ability and willingness to learn.
- Willingness and availability to participate in on-call or weekend rotation. Physical Requirements:
- Frequent walking, standing, climbing stairs, and facility inspections throughout the workday
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds Work Environment:
- Exposure to typical manufacturing conditions, including noise, moving equipment, fumes, airborne particles, oils, and chemicals
- Indoor and outdoor work conditions consistent with Texas weather
- Use of required PPE and compliance with company safety policies is mandatory
- Ability to work in production, warehouse, tank farm, and blending environments as needed ---
