Job Summary

Support classroom teachers in creating a safe, engaging, and effective learning environment for students. This role involves working directly with students to reinforce learning concepts, assist with classroom management, support individual and group instruction, supervise students during transitions, and perform other duties as assigned by the teacher or administrator.

The position requires the ability to remain emotionally stable, exercise sound judgment, and maintain professional composure in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple responsibilities and responding appropriately to student needs and unexpected situations. The position requires the ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods; move throughout the classroom and school; and lift and carry materials or equipment weighing 20 pounds or more as needed.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent, basic computer or communication skills (if relevant), ability to work with students, experience in schools or similar settings.

Compensation

Hourly rate is based on experience and certification at a range from $14.75-$20.25. Benefit options for positions over 29 hours per week include section 125 health, vision, and dental coverage, subject to plan terms (for employees who work an average of 30 hours or more per week) , voluntary benefits such as life insurance, long-term disability, and other ancillary insurance options (subject to applicable waiting periods, for employees who work an average of 30 hours or more per week), paid Time Off, 3 personal days and 5 sick days.

This will be prorated based on the start date. Unused paid leave days roll over into sick accumulated days, and use of the Wellness Gym (workout facility for all employees and guests ages 18+) and Marathon Health Clinic.
