• Valdosta, GA, Position Type: Full-Time/Part-Time, Education Level: Not Specified, Salary Range: $16.00 - $18.00, Job Shift: Swing, Job Category: Facilities, Maintenance Specialist La Quinta by Wyndham Valdosta – Valdosta, GA Pay: $16.00–$18.00 per hour, based on experience Williams Hotel Group is seeking a dependable and hands-on Maintenance Specialist to join the team at La Quinta by Wyndham Valdosta. This position is responsible for maintaining guest rooms, common areas, equipment, and building systems to ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for our guests and employees.

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and repairs throughout the hotel and guest rooms. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and guest room issues. Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, appliances, and other hotel equipment. Inspect guest rooms and common areas to identify maintenance needs.

Repair or replace fixtures, furniture, doors, locks, lighting, and other hotel components as needed. Assist with basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general building repairs. Maintain the hotel’s exterior areas and assist with grounds maintenance when needed. Keep accurate records of completed maintenance work.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized maintenance area. Follow all company safety procedures and report safety hazards immediately. Assist with emergency maintenance situations and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Previous hotel maintenance or general maintenance experience preferred. Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general building repairs. Ability to troubleshoot problems and determine appropriate solutions. Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple maintenance requests. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.

Dependable, punctual, and professional. Ability to communicate effectively with guests, coworkers, and management. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and supplies as required. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays when needed.
