Job Summary
Rapid. Fire Safety & Security looking for an experienced Fire Alarm Technician with a Texas Fire Alarm and Security Installer license to join our team. Must be self-motivated and able to plan, organize and direct the completion of service /installations.
Responsibilities
- Provide full-service troubleshooting and repair of systems in an efficient and professional manner – this includes knowing how to find an answer if you don’t know it!
- Maintain accurate records of all work performed, material used, and the nature of any problem encountered or identified with the system
- Coordinate with office manager/dispatcher for the purpose of completing service and work orders efficiently.
- Diagnoses cause problems or failures in systems for the purpose of identifying equipment and systems repair.
- Requests equipment and supplies for the purpose of maintaining inventory and ensuring availability of equipment required to complete service.
- Respond to emergency situations during and after hours to resolve immediate safety concerns.
- Perform state licensed fire alarm inspections
- Provide excellent service Knowledge, Skill & Other Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and Texas FAL
- MUST have a MINIMUM of 2 years installation and experience in wiring, installing and programming security systems, fire systems and CCTV systems.
- Familiarity with various alarm control panels including DSC, NAPCO, DMP, GE, and others
- Familiarity with fire panels including Honeywell, Potter, Hochiki and others
- Must be able to work without supervision
- Be able to lift tools and equipment up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, pull wire, etc.
- Strong attention to detail
