IT Specialist (Sysadmin)

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DS-04 grade level or GS-11/12 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

1. Managing system resources including performance, capacity, availability, serviceability, and recoverability;
2. Designing new systems and techniques to support an organization in development, implementation, and maintenance of security systems;
3. Analyzing customer information systems for risk to the organization;
4. Ensuring comprehensive cybersecurity measures are implemented, followed, and recorded in a timely and accurate manner;
5. Ensuring information system inspections, tests, and reviews are synchronized and coordinated with affected parties and organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
