Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer

Summary: The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer plays a critical role in strengthening program accountability and effectiveness by designing and implementing robust M&E systems. This position ensures that project activities are aligned with strategic objectives and delivers reliable data to inform decision-making, improve program performance, and support donor reporting.

The officer is responsible for overseeing data collection, analysis, and verification processes, while fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement across projects.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement M&E frameworks, indicators, tools, and data collection methodologies. Monitor project activities to ensure alignment with work plans, targets, and expected outcomes. Collect, analyze, and interpret quantitative and qualitative data to assess program performance. Conduct routine field monitoring visits and provide technical support to project teams.

Prepare accurate and timely monitoring reports (monthly, quarterly, and annual) for management and donors. Ensure data quality through routine data verification, validation, and assessments. Support learning, documentation of lessons learned, and best practices for continuous improvement. Collaborate with program teams to strengthen data use for planning and decision-making.
