Job description
ABOUT THE POSITION The Community Support Supervisor will support the delivery of high-quality services to adults with disabilities in the community. This role involves supervising a team of DSP/community support coaches. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, organized, and committed to enhancing the well-being and independence of our clients in the community.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate daily operations and activities within the CDS program ensuring compliance with regulations, policies, and standards. Team Supervision: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of community support coaches and personal support coaches, providing guidance, and training. Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client progress, incidents, and staff performance.
Review team member progress notes and provide corrective feedback to direct reports.
- Direct Care: Provide direct care support and supervision to clients enrolled in the CDS Program that focuses on life skills activities and community integration.
- Community Resources: Coordinate and facilitate access to medical, therapeutic, and community-based services to support clients' physical, emotional, and social well-being. Activity Planning: Plan and organize collaborative activities for various CDS groups. Staffing & Timesheets: Responsible for scheduling and approving call outs to ensure CDS groups are staffed adequately aligned with ratios and budget. Review and approve CDS and Personal Support timesheets.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Special Education, or equivalent experience. Prior experience working with individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with residents, families, staff, and external stakeholders.
Proficiency in organizational and administrative tasks, such as record-keeping and report writing. Additional Duties Perform other duties as assigned Shift: Monday
