Responsibilities
The Senior Medical Education Manager is responsible for strategically designing, implementing, and evaluating clinician training programs to support the safe and effective adoption of the Cordis cardiovascular portfolio in the United States. This role serves as a subject matter expert in clinical education and adult learning principles and owns the development and advancement of the Medical Education function ensuring that programs meet high standards of scientific accuracy, regulatory compliance, continuity with Marketing objectives and clinical relevance.
This role leads and develops a team that shapes educational programs and designs Med Ed strategies that elevate disease awareness, support evidence-based practice, and strengthen partnerships with healthcare professionals. This individual is accountable for aligning team priorities, performance, and outcomes to meet Cordis business objectives.
Job Responsibilities
Oversee the design and deliver medical education programs (workshops, proctoring pathways, virtual learning, symposia) that align with product and procedural needs. Ensures the team develops clinical training content, including curricula, procedural guides, and competency assessments. Guide and support team engagement with physician faculty and KOLs to organize peer-to-peer educational initiatives.
Ensure appropriate leadership oversight and support for key training events and live case demonstrations. Lead identification of educational gaps, emerging trends and unmet needs using data, insights, and stakeholder feedback. Represent Medical Education as a cross-functional partner (Clinical, Marketing, Regulatory, Quality) to ensure content accuracy and compliance.
Own and scale the Medical Education learn frameworks and training platforms along with organizational growth and operational strategy. Establish best practices and serve as a strategic advisor to internal teams on training methodologies. Create the universal framework for program analytics across Medical Education programs which will drive future strategic direction.
Lead the development of Medical Education Faculty and programs for future technologies (IVL, Carotid, Peripheral) from pre-launch to post market. Develop end to end strategy supporting Medical Education digital marketing and execution internally and externally.
Qualifications
12+ years of experience in medical education, clinical education, or field clinical roles within the medical device or procedural healthcare industry (combined education/experience considered). Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in education, instructional design, or MBA preferred. Combination of education and experience will be considered.
