Substitute Teachers 26-27 School Year Building Based

TITLE: SUBSTITUTE TEACHER Deptford Township Public Schools is currently seeking subsitute teachers to be used on an as needed basis. Daily Rate: $140/day Locations and Hours Central Early Childhood Center (Pre-K) - 8:30am to 3:45pm Pine Acres Early Childhood Center (Kindergarten) � 8:50am to 4:05pm Good Intent Elementary School (1st through 5th Grade) 8:05am to 3:20pm Lake Tract Elementary School (1st through 5th Grade) - 8:05am to 3:20pm Oak Valley Elementary School (1st through 5th Grade) - 8:05am to 3:20pm Shady Lane Elementary School (1st through 5th Grade) - 8:05am to 3:20pm Deptford Middle School (6th through 8th Grade) - 7:00am to 2:15pm Deptford High School (9th through 12th Grade) - 7:25am to 2:40pm QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Hold a valid NJ Substitute Certification or NJ Teacher Certification or eligible to apply for a NJ Substitute Certification or NJ Teacher Certification
2. Required criminal history background and proof of U.S. Citizenship or legal resident alien status REPORTS TO:Building Principal JOB GOAL: To support the school by filling daily substitute positions and providing classroom management, instruction, and support for students. To deliver lessons in a way that is age-appropriate for the class.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Reports to the main office at the beginning of the school day to retrieve required materials/schedule of classes and at the end of the day to return materials and discuss next day's assignment, if applicable. Works with individual students, small groups, or entire class to support teaching of content. Guides the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and objectives as indicated in the lesson plans.

Takes attendance according to school procedures. Ensures the safety and security of students at all times, to include awareness of emergency procedures. Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students. Maintains, as fully as possible, the established routines and procedures of the school and classroom to which he/she is assigned Reports all student injuries, accidents, illnesses, and discipline problems to the appropriate authority immediately or as soon as reasonably possible.

Follows the schedule during the school day and remains in the assigned classroom until all students have been dismissed for the day. Maintains and respects the confidentiality of student and school personnel information. Cooperates with other professional staff members. Upholds and enforces school rules, administrative regulations and board policy.

Performs other duties as assigned by the building administrator TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Work week of up to four days a week. Daily rate established by the Board of Education.
