About The Role

Senior Accountant Sumter Local Government Consulting (Sumter LGC) is seeking a skilled local government Accountant to support a wide range of municipalities in all areas of public finance operations. What You’ll Do Partner with our clients to to support budgeting, accounting, revenue collection and other finance related duties Work as a team with our fractional CFOs Enjoy the variety of working for and impacting the success of multiple local governments Work in a flexible hybrid environment with meaningful variety in your assignments Why This Role Matters As part of our consulting team, you’ll bring critical financial leadership to local governments while helping them manage budgets, improve financial reporting, and deliver services more effectively.

What We’re Looking For Proven experience in local government or public sector accounting Strong knowledge of governmental finance systems and reporting standards A proactive, self-starting professional who thrives in collaborative environments and enjoys working with a wide variety of clients in a fast-paced environment Commitment to accuracy, integrity, and service to the public sector What We Offer Competitive salary: $90,000–$100,000 per year Flexible schedule and hybrid work options The opportunity for variety in your work, and an opportunity to help build our finance consulting practice.
