Senior Audit Assistant

Position: Senior Audit Assistant (Contract basis) Location: Pune Shift Timings: 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM Workdays: 5 days working Contract Tenure: 4 Months About the Role We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Audit Assistant to join our Audit & Assurance team. The candidate will be responsible for executing statutory audit assignments, assisting in audit planning and completion, and ensuring compliance with applicable accounting and auditing standards.

The role offers excellent exposure to diverse industries and complex audit engagements involving both listed and unlisted entities. Educational Qualifications Semi-Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA Intermediate/IPCC cleared) Post-articleship experience of approximately 2 years in statutory audit and assurance assignments CA Dropout candidates will be preferred, provided they possess relevant audit experience and technical competence Experience Requirements Minimum 2 years of post-articleship experience Strong exposure to statutory audits of listed and unlisted companies Experience in handling audit assignments independently and coordinating with clients Exposure to manufacturing, service, trading, and other industry sectors will be an added advantage Key Responsibilities Execute statutory audits in accordance with applicable Standards on Auditing (SAs) Perform risk assessment procedures, test controls, and substantive audit procedures Review financial statements and ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements Assist in preparation and finalization of audit reports and audit documentation Evaluate internal controls and identify process improvement opportunities Coordinate with client finance teams for collection of audit information and resolution of audit queries Ensure timely completion of audit engagements while maintaining quality standards Assist seniors and managers in planning, execution, and closure of audit assignments Support implementation and review of compliance with accounting standards and reporting requirements Technical Skills The candidate should possess: Good working knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) Sound understanding of Accounting Standards (AS) Practical knowledge of Standards on Auditing (SAs) Familiarity with provisions of the Companies Act, 2013 relevant to audit assignments Proficiency in MS Excel and other audit documentation tools Exposure to financial statement preparation and reporting requirements
