Mortgage Underwriting Manager

A Mortgage Underwriting Manager will be responsible for coaching, training, and directing the workflow for the Underwriting Department. Primary Responsibilities Serves as the direct manager for Underwriters and Underwriting Supervisors within the department. Assists the Underwriters and Underwriting Supervisors with the daily tasks and questions concerning specific loan applications and loan programs.

Performs employee reviews. Sets goals and performance objectives for each direct report. Responsible for providing training and resources to support and develop Underwriters and Underwriting Supervisors as needed. Coaches and develops the Underwriting Supervisors for future growth. Makes suggestions to the sales team on how to structure or restructure loans and provides suggestions on what can be obtained to satisfy outstanding conditions of the loan approval.

Limited job related travel may be required.

Qualifications
