Education

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in related content area. Certification: Must possess or be eligible for the CT State Department of Education (061) Speech and Language Pathologist Salary: $275.16/daily rate BA, Step 1, if certified Period of Employment: January 2027 � June 2027 Reports to: Building Principal Position Expectations: Providing high quality speech-language therapy services.

Conducting assessments, analyzing results, and writing reports to determine strengths andconcerns in areas of speech, voice, fluency, pragmatics, language, and oral motor skills. Developing treatment plans (IEPs) that are strength-based as well as child and familycentered for overall educational improvement. Ensuring evaluations, treatment plans and service delivery are aligned with school, state,and federal guidelines.

Assisting and guiding teachers in observing, describing, and referring suspected andidentified speech and language delays/disorders. Consulting with teaching teams to develop and implement curriculum accommodations,modifications and appropriate classroom strategies and data collection. Other duties as directed by the Director of Special Services and Building Administrator.
