Pipefitter – Industrial Automation Location: Novi, MI Job Type: Full-Time | Contract Industry: Automotive Manufacturing / Industrial Automation Company: GableTek Job Description GableTek is seeking experienced Industrial Pipefitters for an automotive automation project in Novi, MI. Qualified candidates must have hands-on experience with industrial pipefitting, robotic automation systems, and machine tool manufacturing.

The ideal candidate will be able to work independently with little to no supervision, reading mechanical drawings and schematics to install and assemble piping systems for robotic cells, tooling, and automated manufacturing equipment.

Key Responsibilities

Read and interpret schematic drawings, mechanical blueprints, and bills of materials (BOM). Fabricate, assemble, and install piping headers. Measure, cut, and thread pipe to specifications. Install service stands, lockout valves, and related piping components. Install and route piping for industrial robots, robotic tooling, and automated assembly systems.

Pipe sealer equipment and other industrial automation machinery. Prepare and install valve packs, manifolds, and associated components. Run hoses and properly dress robotic tooling according to customer specifications. Drill, tap, and ream holes as required for installation. Safely operate hand tools, drill presses, grinders, and other fabrication equipment.

Ensure piping installations meet quality standards, safety requirements, and project specifications. Required Qualifications Previous industrial pipefitting experience in a machine tool manufacturing or automotive automation environment. Experience piping industrial robots, robotic tooling, and automated manufacturing equipment.

Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings, schematics, and bills of materials. Experience building headers, threading pipe, and installing pneumatic systems. Knowledge of valve packs, manifolds, service stands, and lockout valves. Ability to work independently with minimal guidance or supervision. Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

Must have reliable transportation and required personal tools.
