Commercial Route Manager

The Route Manager (Commercial Pool Operations) is responsible for overseeing daily service operations across assigned commercial pool routes for CPSS – Commercial Pool & Spa Specialists, a Pool Centurion company. This role ensures all properties meet strict health, safety, and regulatory standards while delivering consistent, high-quality service.

The ideal candidate has strong experience in commercial pool maintenance, including working with regulated environments (health department compliance, ORP/pH control systems, high-bather-load facilities), and can lead technicians to perform at a high level. This position serves as the key point of coordination between field technicians, customers, and leadership, ensuring operational excellence and customer satisfaction across all assigned accounts.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, organize, and optimize daily service routes for commercial pool technicians Supervise and support field technicians to ensure quality, efficiency, and compliance Ensure all pools meet local health department and regulatory requirements Monitor completion of services including: Water chemistry balancing (ORP/pH compliance) Cleaning and vacuuming Equipment inspections and functionality checks Conduct field inspections to ensure adherence to company and regulatory standards.

Train technicians on: Commercial pool systems and best practices Safety protocols and compliance requirements Customer communication and professionalism. Manage inventory of chemicals, parts, and supplies for commercial accounts. Respond to customer needs, service issues, and urgent situations promptly. Maintain accurate service records, compliance logs, and performance reporting.

Ensure company vehicles and equipment are maintained and operated safely. Enforce safety policies and ensure compliance with OSHA and local regulations Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred) Required: Experience in commercial pool service and maintenance Strong understanding of: Water chemistry (including ORP/pH systems) Commercial pool equipment and circulation systems Health department compliance standards CPO (Certified Pool Operator) certification Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record Skills and Competencies Commercial route planning and logistics management Strong knowledge of pool systems, automation, and chemical control systems Regulatory compliance awareness (DOH/health codes) Leadership and team development Problem-solving and decision-making in field environments High attention to detail and quality control Strong communication and customer service skills Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Frequent bending, walking, and standing Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Driving to multiple commercial job sites daily Work Schedule Full-time position May require early mornings, weekends, or after-hours response depending on commercial account needs Compensation and Benefits Company vehicle and fuel card for work-related travel Opportunities for advancement and career growth Health, dental, and vision insurance options Paid time off and holidays Equal Opportunity Employer CPSS – Commercial Pool & Spa Specialists, a Pool Centurion company, promotes diversity of thought, culture, and background.
