AZ Operator, Organics
Job description
The AZ/ DZ Operator – Organics will support the liquids/ organics team to provide exceptional service to our clients. The role will be responsible for safely operating and/or have the ability to operate various equipment to assist in the collection of various liquid and solid hazardous wastes.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate motorized vehicles to move material between client sites.
- Must be familiar and demonstrate ability to operate a tanker.
- Accurately complete numerous and various documents, including pre/post trip inspections, manifests, log books, VCRs, etc., in a legible manner to meet compliance requirements.
- Ensure that all equipment and systems are operated as per GFL standards.
- Knowledge of Reg. 347/558, WMHIS, MTO regulations.
- Drivers are required to adhere to all Environmental and Health & Safety policies and procedures.
- Load and unload trucks.
- Perform other duties assigned.
Requirements
- Three (3) years of driver/operator experience is preferred.
- High school diploma, General Education Degree (GED) or equivalent
- Must possess an AZ license and submit current abstracts, personal and CVOR (no demerit points)
- Must have solid written communication skills in order to complete required paperwork.
- Must have exceptional verbal communication skills to be able to interact with internal and external customers.
- Prior experience operating heavy machinery, including farm in an agricultural environment is a definite asset.
