• Locke Ny Area (Job #AT-JT) Indera (formerly ARISE/EFR)is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide Respite services in Locke, NY to a man in his mid-30’s. He is generally quiet, easy going, and kind. He enjoys watching his favorite shows, anything Christmas, and listening to music/ bands. He is nonverbal and communicates using sounds, gestures, body language, and facial expressions. We are looking for a patient, kind, and reliable individual to support him to give his family well-deserved respite. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, patient, and friendly to provide him with support and assistance while providing his family with a well-deserved respite. Prior experience a plus but not required- Guidance on activities and training will be provided by the family in conjunction with the agency supervisor.

Responsibilities

may include, but are not limited to assisting with transportation, meal preparation, assisting with Personal Care, and transferring. Valid NYS driver's license and a reliable vehicle required. Pay Rate: $22.25/hour; All new hires must complete a five-hour initial training course online; the training rate is $17/hour. Hours: Up to 27 hours/ week; Weekend availability preferred.

Qualifications

Must have a valid drivers license Effective communication and organizational skills required. Flexibility with assignments and schedule required. Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time. Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred. Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by ARISE/EFR'S technology policy.
