Anticipated: Staff Specialists

• Specially Designed Instruction GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB: The Mid-Hudson Regional Partnership Center (RPC) at Dutchess BOCES is seeking a Staff Specialist to support school districts in improving outcomes for students with disabilities across a four-county region. This position is funded through a five-year NYSED/OSE approved grant serving Orange, Sullivan, Ulster, and Dutchess counties. The Staff Specialist will provide targeted professional development on specially designed instruction and offer technical assistance to schools throughout the region. The individual will collaborate with other RPC Staff Specialists to design, implement, and evaluate programs and strategies that support designated districts in building sustainable systems that improve outcomes for students with disabilities. The selected candidate must hold certification in Special Education and will participate in required NYSED/OSE professional development to support this work. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
• Full-time, 12-month, tenure track assignment.

• Full complement of health benefits REPORTS TO: Director of Regional Partnership Center SUPERVISES : N/A QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
• Current New York State Teaching Certification in Special Education required
• SAS, SDA, SBL, or SDL certification preferred
• Minimum of five (5) years of teaching experience in K�12 as a special education teacher
• Demonstrated experience providing professional development and collaborating with educators is preferred KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Facilitate regional and in-district professional development on Specially Designed Instruction and other related topics as needed.
• Support training initiatives connected to special education, including the Blueprint for Improved Results for Students with Disabilities.
• Provide modeling and coaching for teachers on instructional strategies, data collection, and reteaching practices to support student learning and skill development.
• Provide in-district support to Dutchess County educators, including teachers and administrators, as needed.
• Attend NYSED-sponsored trainings and other professional development opportunities across New York State.
• Design, plan, and facilitate student enrichment activities such as conferences, debates, and related events. EVALUATION : Director of Regional Partnership Center SALARY : $110,000 - $117,000
