Our client based in Port Elizabeth has an exciting opportunity for an HR Co-Ordinator to join their team! The successful candidate will play an active role in coordinating HR activities across the business, supporting employee engagement, training initiatives, performance management processes, and day-to-day HR operations.
The position is best suited to a proactive individual with excellent interpersonal skills who can build strong relationships with employees at all levels of the organization.
Responsibilities
Coordinate and support HR activities, ensuring the smooth delivery of HR services. Organize and facilitate employee engagement activities, including functions, wellness initiatives, and team-building events. Provide payroll and benefits administration support. Coordinate recruitment activities, including scheduling interviews, arranging assessments, conducting reference checks, and qualification verifications.
Provide general administrative and operational support to the Head of HR. Assist with the review and updating of HR policies, procedures, and protocols. Coordinate training and development initiatives, including scheduling training sessions, maintaining records, assisting with inductions, and tracking participation. Support the onboarding and induction process for new employees.
Assist with performance management processes, including coordinating review cycles, maintaining records, tracking trends, and supporting managers with administration. Respond to employee queries and provide day-to-day HR support across multiple departments. Ensure HR and payroll compliance requirements are met and records remain accurate and up to date.
Coordinate onboarding and exit processes, including preparing documentation, arranging medicals, tracking probation periods, and conducting exit administration. Drive internal communication initiatives, including staff meetings, newsletters, and employee communication platforms. Maintain employee records and manage leave administration.
Utilize Excel and HR-related reporting tools to compile, analyze, and present HR data and trends.
Requirements
Human Resources Diploma or Degree. 3+ years' experience in a similar HR role. Previous experience supporting payroll and benefits administration. Exposure to employee training, inductions, and performance management processes. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables/VLOOKUPs etc.). Fluent in both English and Afrikaans. Valid driver's license.
