Think as a “Great College to Work For,” invites applications to join our Advancement & Engagement team as a full-time, year-round Director of Annual Giving & Alumni Relations. The Director of Annual Giving and Alumni Relations provides strategic leadership for the College’s annual giving and alumni engagement programs, with responsibility for building lifelong relationships between Mount Aloysius College and its alumni, parents, families, friends, and other members of the College Community.
This position develops and executes comprehensive annual giving strategies designed to increase donor acquisition, participation, retention, and philanthropic support. The Director leads alumni engagement initiatives that strengthen connections to the College and create meaningful opportunities for alumni to remain involved, informed, and invested in the institution.
Working collaboratively across the Advancement and Engagement Department, the Director will use data, personal engagement, digital and traditional communications, events, and volunteer leadership to develop a sustainable pipeline of donors and advocates. The position will also identify opportunities to transition annual donors and engaged alumni into deeper philanthropic relationships with the College.
The Director of Annual Giving & Alumni Relations is a non-voting ex-officio member of the Alumni Association Executive Board of Directors; and provides leadership and support to the Alumni Association in collaboration with the Executive Board. Advancement & Engagement at Mount Aloysius College is a comprehensive advancement services enterprise comprised of development/fundraising, alumni relations, grant writing & research, and related communications and events.
Our team’s mission is to build strong, lifelong relationships with Mount Aloysius College's constituents, match donors' interests with College’s needs and priorities, and secure the financial resources necessary to support the Mission of the College.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred. Five (5) to seven (7) years of progressively responsible administrative experience leading teams and managing complex projects or events required. Experience in higher education, fundraising, and working with volunteers is a plus. Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, organizational, and listening skills required, and the ability to build and foster relationships across a diverse spectrum of individuals is a must.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite required. Experience with Raiser’s Edge database is a plus. Graduate of Mount Aloysius College is preferred. Periodic work on evenings and weekends is required. High degree of professionalism and a demonstrated ability to maintain high ethical standards and confidentiality is required.
