A Snapshot of Your Day. To support the extended supply chain management responsibilities within the Blades & Vanes Operations in Budapest, Siemens Energy is appointing a Procurement Team Lead to steer local operational procurement activities. This role is essential for aligning the procurement function with broader manufacturing objectives, ensuring material availability, and driving cost-efficiency within the Gas Services division.

To address these business aims, the role focuses on team leadership, supplier relationship management, and operational procurement excellence. These core areas are designed to optimize the local supply chain, mitigate risks, and foster collaboration across sister organizations such as Logistics and Quality Management.

Given the focus on leading a professional procurement team within a complex manufacturing environment, the ideal candidate will possess proven leadership experience, strong negotiation skills, and a solid background in industrial procurement.How You’ll Make an Impact. Lead, mentor, and develop the operational procurement team in Budapest, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Set clear performance targets, conduct regular reviews, and manage workload distribution across team members.Ensure compliance with Siemens Energy procurement guidelines, internal controls, and ethical standards.Oversee day-to-day purchasing activities to guarantee timely delivery of materials for Blades & Vanes manufacturing.

Manage critical supplier relationships, monitor supplier performance KPIs, and resolve escalation issues.Collaborate closely with Logistics, Quality Management, Supplier Quality Department, and Production teams to align supply schedules with manufacturing demands.Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives and process improvements within the procurement workflow.

Support strategic sourcing initiatives and contract negotiations for local and regional suppliers.Analyze procurement data and report key metrics to local management and global Gas Services procurement leadership.Demonstrate strong customer focus by handling requests in a timely manner with high-quality standards.Communicate efficiently and professionally with internal and external stakeholders.

Actively seek process optimization and improvement opportunities in relevant areas (e.g., MoQ optimization, bundling of purchase orders, etc.)What You Bring. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a leadership or team lead capacity.Native Hungarian written and spoken is a must, good English skills (negotiation level), german skills are a big plus.Intercultural mindset and ability to adapt to country-specific particularities.Good experience with SAP and MS Office.About the Team.

You will be a member of the Budapest Supply Chain Team, responsible for logistics, sourcing, and ordering of raw materials for the Budapest production site.
