The Surgery Department is looking for a Surgical Technician to join their growing team! Hours: Varies Weekend and call rotation will be required Position Summary: The Surgical Technologist is responsible for assisting in surgical procedures by preparing the operating room, maintaining a sterile environment, and supporting the surgical team.

This role ensures instruments and supplies are available and functioning properly to promote safe, efficient patient care.

Education

Certified Surgical Technologist. BLS certification. Meets health requirements. Experience: Previous experience in surgical care services with knowledge of aseptic principles preferred. Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Must be able to deal with multiple priorities calmly. Good organizational skills. Good time management skills, can prioritize.

Resourceful – aware of resources available for use. Able to work independently. Quick learner. Able to work with all types of people. Communication skills. Requires decision-making and problem-solving skills. Must have strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Must have an understanding of the physical and emotional stresses that occur with illness and disease and be able to work with individuals under these stresses Must be able to interact and practice in collaboration with a variety of healthcare professionals.

Must have the ability to motivate people and create a positive work environment. Must have the ability to resolve problems quickly and effectively. Must display a high degree of emotional maturity while keeping difficult situations in proper perspective.
