Operates and cares for equipment used in the classroom for instructional purposes Helps students master equipment or instructional materials assigned by the teacher Distributes and collects workbooks, papers, and other materials for instruction Guides independent study, enrichment work, and remedial work assigned by the teacher Assists with the supervision of students during emergency drills, assemblies, play periods, and field trips Assists in and around the school with recess, lunch, and/or bus duty and general assistance in hallways and classrooms Checks student work and supervises testing and make-up work as assigned by the teacher Attends to physical needs of students, which may include feeding, toileting, diapering, responding to medical emergencies, and handling equipment Participates in in-service training as assigned Performs other duties which may be within the scope of employment and certifications as may be assigned by the superintendent or designee Required: NJ Teacher Certification OR NJ Substitute Certification OR Para.
