Yard Duty Aide

Job Summary

Under the immediate direction of the Superintendent and/or designee, to supervise playground and other areas assigned. To encourage student activities that will contribute toward their health and safety of the students while on the school playground, before school, recess, and during lunch period. To engage students in an interactive setting to facilitate the learning process and to perform other related duties as assigned.

School site: American Elementary Requirements / Qualifications

1. Ability to work with staff and students in a cooperative style.
2. Be conscious of and working toward health and safety of the students on the playground.
3. To maintain discipline and to be able to carry out school policy concerning disciplinary measures.
4. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing in a clear and concise manner. Comments and Other Information Interviews: All applications will be screened and interviews scheduled for qualified applicants. Applicants will not be individually notified of their application status. Conditions of Employment: Fingerprint clearance by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the California Department of Justice, pre-employment physical and TB clearance is required for this position. The processing fee for fingerprints will be at the applicant's expense.
