The Role: The Commercial Director, Obesity owns the business in its entirety: the proposition, the P&L and the commercial outcomes. If obesity grows profitably, it's because this person made the right calls. If it doesn't, they'll already know why. Most of the levers sit in other teams. Marketing, CRM, product, pricing and clinical ops all shape the obesity P&L, so the Commercial Director has to direct resource they don't own. That resource is won with a clear commercial case and the numbers to back it. The person who excels here thinks like a founder. They know CAC, CM2, cohort retention and approval rate without being asked, and they read the weekly numbers hunting for the problem before anyone flags it. They care about patients, who come to Numan at a personal moment and need to trust us before they'll stay.
