BANQUET HOUSE ATTENDANT Marina del Rey Hotel ABOUT THE PROPERTY Located directly on the waterfront in Marina del Rey, Marina del Rey Hotel offers a relaxed coastal escape with beautiful harbor views and easy access to Venice Beach and the surrounding Westside. The boutique hotel features 164 guest rooms and suites, many with private balconies or patios, along with a pool, waterfront dining at SALT Restaurant & Bar, Del Rey Lounge, and MOJO Café.

With more than 10,000 square feet of flexible indoor and outdoor event space, including a waterfront lawn, Marina del Rey Hotel is a popular setting for weddings, meetings, and social gatherings. THE ROLE As a Banquet House Attendant, you’ll help bring meetings, celebrations, weddings, and other events to life by making sure banquet spaces are set, clean, organized, and ready for guests.

You’ll handle the hands-on setup and breakdown of rooms and equipment, support the Banquet team during events, and help keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes. You will: Set up and break down banquet rooms, tables, chairs, and event equipment according to event requirements Safely move, handle, and store banquet equipment and materials Assist Banquet Servers and the event team as needed throughout service Remove dirty dishes, linens, and trash and replace supplies as needed Keep meeting and banquet spaces clean, polished, and guest-ready Vacuum floors and clean walls, windows, mirrors, and other surfaces Keep food service areas and equipment clean and sanitary and aligned with health standards Help maintain organized storage areas and ensure equipment is returned properly after events Report missing items, equipment issues, or property damage to the appropriate supervisor Communicate effectively with guests and team members and provide friendly, courteous service Support other hotel departments and team members when needed Follow safety, security, and cleanliness standards at all times WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE Banquet spaces are set up correctly, clean, and ready to go before guests arrive—and efficiently broken down and reset after the event.

Equipment is handled with care, the event team has the support they need, and guests experience a polished, welcoming environment from start to finish. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR 1+ year of banquet, hospitality, housekeeping, events, or related experience preferred Comfortable with hands-on event setup, breakdown, and equipment movement Friendly, courteous, and comfortable interacting with guests and team members Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach Ability to follow event setup instructions and established standards Organized, dependable, and able to prioritize tasks in a busy environment Ability to work efficiently while maintaining attention to cleanliness and detail Strong awareness of safety and proper equipment handling Willingness to jump in and support Banquets and other hotel departments as needed Ability to work on your feet for extended periods and perform frequent bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

POSITION DETAILS Hourly Rate Range: 18.47 - 21.47 Part-Time
