The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading safe, efficient, and compliant manufacturing operations while driving team performance, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. This role oversees daily production activities, develops employees, optimizes labor and resource utilization, and ensures safety, quality, and production goals are consistently achieved during a 12-hour night shift operation.

This position oversees daily production activities, drives employee engagement and accountability, ensures compliance with safety and quality standards, and supports continuous improvement initiatives that enhance productivity, efficiency, and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead production operations in compliance with company safety policies, OSHA regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety requirements, and standard operating procedures.
- Plan, organize, and coordinate daily production activities to achieve production schedules and business objectives.
- Ensure proper staffing and resource allocation to meet operational requirements.
- Drive labor efficiency through effective workflow planning, scheduling, and team coordination.
- Promote a culture of safety by identifying and addressing unsafe conditions and behaviors.
- Monitor production performance and maintain accurate operational reporting and documentation.
- Conduct team meetings to communicate goals, expectations, operational updates, and performance results.
- Partner with Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, and leadership teams to resolve issues and improve performance.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including root cause analysis, waste reduction, process optimization, and operational excellence programs.
- Improve operational efficiency, maximize production yields, and reduce downtime.
- Manage inventory usage and approve material and supply requirements for assigned production areas.
- Maintain strong technical understanding of manufacturing equipment and production processes.
- Develop employee capability through coaching, training, performance feedback, and performance management.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, accountability standards, and corrective action processes.
- Support equipment reliability by ensuring completion of preventive maintenance activities.
- Provide hands-on operational support when necessary to maintain production flow and minimize disruptions.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum three to five years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience leading production teams within food manufacturing, packaging, or consumer products environments preferred.
- Knowledge of HACCP, food safety programs, and quality systems.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) or similar ERP systems preferred.
- Strong leadership, coaching, employee development, and team-building skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to effectively collaborate with employees and leaders at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing production demands.
- Ability to professionally address employee performance and accountability matters. Physical & Environmental Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, climb, and move throughout manufacturing environments.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds independently and more with assistance.
- Ability to work in environments with varying temperatures, dust, odors, gases, fumes, and industrial conditions.
- Ability to work at heights when required.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Compensation
& Benefits: Annual salary range: $61,900 - $77,400.
