Position Summary
This is a high-impact HR leadership role for someone who enjoys being close to the business. The Senior Manager, HR Business Partner – Manufacturing & Operations serves as a trusted partner to senior operations leaders while helping shape the talent, organization, and leadership capabilities needed to support Pharmavite's manufacturing and operations teams across Valencia A, Valencia W, and San Fernando.
This role combines strategic business partnership with a strong connection to the day-to-day realities of our manufacturing operations. The Senior Manager translates business priorities into practical people strategies and plays a key role in organization design, workforce strategy, leadership capability, talent management, and change initiatives as the business continues to evolve.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary HR Business Partner for assigned California manufacturing sites and operations functions, building trusted partnerships with senior leaders, managers, supervisors, and frontline employees. Translate business priorities into practical people strategies by combining strategic HR partnership with a strong understanding of day-to-day manufacturing operations.
Shape organization and workforce effectiveness through organization design, workforce planning, role clarity, operating model changes, leadership transitions, team effectiveness, and capability building. Lead and support organizational change related to business initiatives, process improvements, system implementations, restructuring, and evolving operational needs.
Drive talent and leadership strategies, including performance management, talent reviews, succession planning, development planning, career development, frontline leader capability, and performance calibration. Use workforce data, business insights, and employee feedback to identify trends, anticipate talent and organizational risks, and recommend proactive solutions that strengthen performance and engagement.
Partner with Talent Acquisition, Talent & Organization Development, and business leaders to address workforce needs, strengthen talent pipelines, improve hiring outcomes, and build leadership and manager capability. Assess organizational health and employee experience and coach leaders on actions that improve engagement, retention, accountability, inclusion, team performance, and organizational effectiveness.
Partner with leaders and Employee Relations to navigate complex employee relations, performance, and workplace matters, applying sound judgment and knowledge of federal, California, and local employment practices. Ensure strong HR execution, team management and cross-functional partnership across HR processes, compliance, documentation, site support, and manufacturing-specific requirements such as safety, cGMP, quality, and site protocols, working closely with HR Centers of Excellence, Legal, Compliance, and People Operations.
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Organizational Development, or a related field required. Advanced Degree or equivalent work experience 10-14 years related experience
- Progressive HR experience, including significant experience as an HR Business Partner or HR Manager supporting complex operational client groups. Experience supporting manufacturing, operations, supply chain, engineering, quality, life sciences, medical device, food or beverage, or another operational or regulated environment. Strong experience coaching leaders and partnering with Employee Relations or Legal on complex employee relations, performance, accommodation, and workplace matters. Demonstrated experience in organization design, change management, workforce planning, talent management, succession, leadership development, and engagement. Strong knowledge of California employment practices and the judgment to translate policy and legal requirements into practical business guidance. Business acumen, executive presence, and the ability to use data and business context to influence decisions and translate priorities into practical people solutions. HR certification such as SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, SPHR, or PHR Knowledge, Skills & Competencies Ability to support urgent business, site, employee relations, and operational needs outside standard business hours as required. Ability to work effectively in office, manufacturing, production, laboratory, warehouse, and other site environments. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive employee, leader, organizational, and business information with discretion. Ability to comply with company policies, site procedures, safety requirements, quality standards, cGMP processes, and regulatory expectations. Physical or Work Requirements Primarily performs work in an office or remote environment and require extended periods of sitting, computer use, and verbal communication. Physical activity is generally limited to occasional standing, walking, repetitive keyboard and mouse use, and light lifting of office materials or equipment up to 10–15 pounds. Employees may occasionally travel or attend meetings in varying office or customer environments. Travel 20% Regular onsite presence and active HR support across assigned California locations, primary location is based in Valencia A. Regular travel among assigned California sites, including West Hills, Valencia A, Valencia W, and San Fernando, is required. Additional travel may be required based on business, site, employee relations, or enterprise HR needs. - (max) $200,000 . The salary range for this position is based on national standards. For candidates in California and New York metro the Target Base Pay Range is (min) $133,000

- (max) $221,000 to reflect the cost of living and market conditions in those areas. Actual compensation will take into account a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location, education, experience, qualifications, and job-related skills.
