Job description

The Oilfield Mechanic (Heavy Duty Mechanic) is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of diesel-powered heavy equipment, trailers, hydraulic systems, and oilfield service units. This role includes both shop and field work, operating a service truck to perform mobile repairs, and providing troubleshooting and diagnostic support. Location: Local

Use diagnostic software: SIS, INSIGHT, Allison Rebuild hydraulic systems and perform field service repairs Mentor Mechanic 1 and trainee-level team members Maintain accurate records and documentation Operate forklifts and telehandlers Participate in on-call weekend rotation Work in various outdoor conditions (approx. 75% shop, 25% field) Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED 1–5+ years of verifiable diesel mechanic experience (oilfield preferred) Valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle record Must pass pre-employment background check, physical, and drug screen Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail Ability to work flexible and irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays Preferred Skills: Strong problem-solving and communication skills Experience mentoring others Familiarity with oilfield equipment, safety practices, and documentation Comfortable working under pressure and in a fast-paced environment Reports To: Maintenance Manager Disclaimer The Company has reviewed this job description to ensure that essential functions and basic duties have been included.
