Job Description The Fraud Risk Analyst is responsible for protecting customers and the bank by identifying, investigating, and resolving suspected fraud activity while minimizing financial losses and customer impact. This role reviews transactions, customer claims, account activity, and supporting documentation to make informed fraud decisions in accordance with established policies and procedures.

The Fraud Agent performs customer authentication and verification, evaluates risk indicators, and takes appropriate action to prevent, mitigate, or resolve fraudulent activity. They maintain accurate case documentation, identify emerging fraud trends, and escalate potential risks or complex situations as needed. The role partners with customers, business partners, and internal support teams to deliver effective fraud resolutions while ensuring compliance with regulatory and operational requirements.

  • Review and analyze fraud alerts, customer transactions, and account activity to identify potential fraudulent activity.
  • Investigate suspected fraud cases by gathering, validating, and documenting information from internal systems, customers, and third-party sources.
  • Make timely decisions to approve, deny, escalate, or resolve fraud cases based on established procedures and risk criteria.
  • Monitor accounts for suspicious activity and take appropriate action to prevent or minimize customer and bank losses.
  • Contact customers and business partners as needed to verify transactions, confirm fraud concerns, and provide case updates.
  • Accurately document investigative findings, account actions, and case outcomes in designated systems of record.
  • Process fraud-related account maintenance, including restrictions, closures, credits, recoveries, and other remediation activities.
  • Identify fraud trends, emerging risks, and unusual activity patterns and escalate concerns to leadership when appropriate.
  • Collaborate with internal business partners, operational teams, and support groups to resolve complex fraud situations and customer issues.
  • Ensure compliance with bank policies, operating procedures, regulatory requirements, and fraud risk management standards.
  • Maintain required service levels, quality standards, productivity goals, and case handling expectations.
  • Respond to customer inquiries, complaints, and escalations with professionalism while delivering a positive customer experience.
  • Participate in audits, quality reviews, and control activities by providing accurate documentation and supporting evidence.
  • Support process improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance operational efficiency, risk controls, and fraud detection effectiveness.
  • Complete required training and remain current on fraud schemes, industry trends, regulatory changes, and evolving fraud prevention practices. Location
  • Chennai. Experience - 4 Years Location expectations This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location 5 days per week.
