Gain hands-on experience working with diesel, gasoline, and CNG-powered vehicles , including garbage and recycling trucks.

What You'll Do

✅ Assist drivers with daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections ✅ Perform safety inspections during PM services and Safety Lane checks ✅ Complete lubrication services on assigned vehicles and equipment ✅ Learn brake inspection procedures and documentation requirements ✅ Assist with maintenance and repairs on: Rear Load Trucks Front Load Trucks Roll-Off Trucks Grapple Trucks Portable Toilet Service Trucks Other heavy-duty waste collection equipment ✅ Perform fluid checks and top-offs, including: Engine Oil Hydraulic Fluid Transmission Fluid DEF Fluid ✅ Help complete repair orders, parts documentation, and computer data entry ✅ Maintain a clean and safe work environment following OSHA and company standards ✅ Work alongside experienced A & B Technicians to learn repair and diagnostic procedures Qualifications ✔ Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn ✔ Ability to identify visible vehicle defects such as: Lights Mirrors Leaks Body Damage ✔ Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and inspections ✔ Knowledge of tire inspections and air pressure adjustments ✔ Ability to learn lubrication schedules and procedures ✔ Ability to assist with repairs involving: Engines Transmissions Brakes Suspension Systems Electrical Systems Hydraulic Systems ✔ Familiarity with hand tools and shop equipment ✔ Basic computer skills ✔ Strong work ethic, dependability, and commitment to safety OTHER JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: * Employees in this job classification must attend and participate in corporation sponsored training courses as assigned.
