Mantra Inc.

is a global AI startup dedicated to “breaking down language barriers through entertainment.” We envision a future where people around the world can enjoy the latest manga, anime, and games together, and engage in conversations that transcend national and cultural boundaries. We believe that the “respect for other cultures” born from a love for these works and interactions among fans will eventually foster mutual understanding across the globe.

With this vision of a peaceful, smile-filled future in mind, we are committed to researching AI technology, translating manga, and developing language learning services. Specifically, through R&D in AI technology specialized for manga and entertainment, we provide services such as “Mantra Engine,” a translation tool that enables high-speed manga translation, and “Langaku,” an English extensive reading app that uses manga.

Furthermore, these achievements have earned us numerous awards, including the HONGO AI Award (2019), Weekly Toyo Keizai’s “100 Amazing Ventures” (2020), the AAMT Nagao Award (2021), the JEITA Venture Award Early Edge Prize (2022), and the “Google Play Best of 2025 Grand Prize in the Self-Improvement Category (Langaku).
