  • Olympia, WA, Salary Range: $20.50 - $20.50Hourly, Want to make a difference in someone's life? Looking for a PT schedule working 18-24 hours/week? You would be working with adult individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities that live in their own homes. Caregiving experience helpful but not necessary! We provide 75 hours of paid training by experienced staff.

Key Responsibilities

Assisting individuals with their personal care- bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting/personal hygiene Daily tasks include light housekeeping, laundry, and keeping the home comfortable and safe Plan meals, shopping for groceries, preparing and serving meals/snacks Accompany individuals to scheduled medical appointments Accompany individuals on fun community activities (movies, swimming, bowling, trips to the beach, shopping at the mall, etc.)

Assist individuals with self-administration of medications Document services provided using computer Benefits $20.50/hour Know your schedule for the month-easy to plan work/life balance PT Day shift 18-24 hours/week FT Day shift 24-32 hrs/week Work a 2 day on/2day off/every other weekend shift We pay for your training and pay you when you are getting trained (NAR certification reimbursed after 4 months) Medical/Dental/Vision/HSA/life insurance benefits after 60 days (must work avg of 30 hours/week) 401K with matching after 1 year if benefit eligible Opportunities for advancement (Lead DSP, Supervisor, House Manager) Employee bonuses, events for our employees include picnics and parties, Backpack for School, Trunk or Treat, gift cards, etc.

Requirements

Be at least 18 Years or older Be able to pass a Washington State Criminal Background Check and complete fingerprints by hire date Be able to provide high school diploma or high school transcript or GED Be able to lift up to 50 lbs, twist, turn, sit, stand for periods of time, see and hear our individuals Have excellent written and verbal communication skills Have basic computer skills Have good problem solving skills working as a team Willing to pay for NAR certification ($85-options for paycheck deduction available)
