About This Opportunity CTI Consulting & Staffing is partnering with a leading aviation instrumentation manufacturer to find a Senior Electrical Design Engineer for their team in Clearwater, Florida. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity with a company that has been building certified avionics products for commercial, military, and business aviation platforms for more than 70 years.

This is not a support role — this is a hands-on ownership position working the full hardware design chain in a structured, DO-254 compliant development environment.

What You'll Do

Translate design requirements into analog and digital board designs, including component selection, simulation, schematic capture, layout review, and documentation Develop and execute test procedures for avionics board-level products Perform PCB layout reviews using Altium, PADS, or Allegro Support system integration to verify board function within the intended avionics platform Interface with in-house manufacturing for production test support and troubleshooting Execute board design activities within a structured DO-254 / DO-178C compliant development process Collaborate with cross-functional teams including firmware, manufacturing, and test engineering Support customer-facing technical deliverables as needed What You Bring Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related engineering discipline 7+ years of hands-on board design experience for aerospace applications Proven ownership of the full design cycle: requirements through schematic capture, component selection, layout, documentation, and test Familiarity with DO-254 and DO-178C structured hardware development guidelines Experience with PCB layout review using Altium, PADS, or Allegro Working knowledge of microprocessor implementation and data/power bus architectures Experience supporting system integration within avionics or aerospace platforms Must be a U.

S. Requirements
