Molding Shift Supervisor

Our esteemed client, an expanding, leading-edge manufacturer in Orange County is seeking an experienced Molding Shift Supervisor. Reports to: Production Manager Department: Molding Job Summary: Directs Molding activities during their 8 ½ hour shift of a 24-hour, 5-6 day/week operation. The position involves supervision of the Molding employees.

The Shift Supervisor assigns job duties and interfaces with Quality Assurance personnel and the Production Manager. Training and Quality Assurance are essential parts of the Shift Supervisor’s daily duties. The Shift Supervisor also performs mold setups, mold maintenance and process troubleshooting. The Shift Supervisor may perform the duties of any of their subordinates during breaks or in the event of an absence.

Responsibilities

The Shift Supervisor is responsible for the above activities. The Shift Supervisor has primary responsibility for delivering quality product from the Departments, in a timely manner. The appearance of the Molding physical plant is the responsibility of this position. Job Requirements: 3-4 years of injection molding or equivalent experience Ability to manage 4-10 employees Good verbal communication skills Must assume responsibility for quality of product & productivity of shift Willingness to work extra hours, as needed Working Conditions: Plant environment In the event of an unplanned absence or unfilled position: This position fills in for: Process Engineer, Molding workers This position is filled by: Production Manager, Process Engineer, Shift Lead For consideration, please submit resumes to employment@cmtc.
