They assist in setting up, operating, andmaintaining equipment while following safety protocols and environmentalguidelines.

Equipment Setup: Assist in setting up and preparing the hydrovac truck foroperation, including connecting hoses, inspecting equipment, and ensuring thatall safety measures are in place.

2. Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines toprevent accidents and injuries. This includes wearing appropriate personalprotective equipment (PPE) and following safety procedures during excavationoperations.3. Site Preparation: Prepare the excavation site by marking out the digging area,setting up barriers or cones for safety, and ensuring there are no undergroundutilities or obstacles that could interfere with the operation.

3. Operational Support: Assist the hydrovac operator in controlling the hydrovacsystem, including operating the high-pressure water system and vacuumsystem. This may involve handling the water and vacuum hoses.5. Soil Removal: Help guide the hydrovac wand or nozzle to accurately excavateand remove soil or debris from the designated area.

Monitor the process toprevent damage to underground utilities or structures.6. Dumping and Disposal: Assist in transporting the excavated material to thedesignated disposal site, which may involve loading it onto a dump truck or intoa container.7. Maintenance: Perform basic maintenance tasks on the hydrovac equipment,such as cleaning filters, hoses, and nozzles, and reporting any issues ormalfunctions to the operator or maintenance personnel.
