Department: 1636 Retail Pharmacy Branson Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Hours: Mon-Fri, Varied 8:00am-6:00pm Work Shift: Rotating (United States of America) Cox. Health Up to $10,000 Sign-On Bonus Up to 80 hours of front-loaded Paid Time Off Up to $3,000 Relocation bonus Job Description: The lead pharmacist serves as the team lead and Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) for a designated pharmacy group, providing daily direction and support to pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.

They manage prescription orders/verify medication orders, monitor patient drug therapies, and offer drug information and patient education/counseling. The lead pharmacist also takes on additional responsibilities, including regulatory compliance and clinical initiatives, and may assume the pharmacy leader’s duties in their absence.

Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills are essential for success in this fast-paced, patient-focused role. In addition, the individual will exemplify the Cox. Health mission, vision, and values and act in accordance with Cox. Health policies and procedures. This role may involve occupational exposure to hazardous drugs.

Training and education will be provided on any specific procedures, risks and safety protocols associated to the handling of these drugs.Education:

  • Required: Bachelors in Pharmacy
  • Preferred: Doctor of Pharmacy Experience:
  • Preferred: 1-2 years supervisory experience Skills:
  • Proficient in using computers and computer systems such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in teams Licensure/Certification/Registration:
  • Required: Licensed by Missouri Board of Pharmacy as Pharmacist or eligible for licensure by Missouri Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacist and obtains licensure within 90 days of hire.
  • Required: Eligibility for licensure requires submission of application for Pharmacy License at time of hire
