Mother’s Day Out Teacher

The Mother's day Out Teacher is responsible for planning and implementing age-appropriate lessons and activities for young children, ensuring their safety and well-being, and creating a nurturing environment that fosters learning and development.

Job Responsibilities

Encourage children's spiritual growth, emphasizing Christian values like love, kindness, and respect. Teach Bible stories, songs, and prayer to young children. Prepare materials and resources needed for lessons, crafts, and activities. Maintain a positive, welcoming classroom environment that reflects Christian principles.

Assist children at lunchtime and serve afternoon snacks. Supervise and engage with children during playtime, snack time and other activities. Communicate with parents about their children's lessons, activities, and behavior. Work closely with other MDO teacher, assistant, and MDO staff to ensure a consistent and supportive environment.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education/ Experience High School Diploma or Equivalent 1 year experience in a teaching capacity. Skills/Abilities Capacity to adapt lesson plans and activities based on the individual needs and interests of the children and any unexpected changes or challenges that may arise. Strong organizational skills to plan and manage classroom routines, materials, and resources effectively.

Ability to remain calm, patient, and understanding, especially in challenging situations, and to empathize with children's feeling and perspectives.
