Job description

Qualification/Requirements: The Middle School Cheer Coach will lead a positive, safe, student-centered program that bridges Youth and High School Cheer. The program will primarily focus on Sideline/Traditional Cheer, emphasizing game-day support, crowd leadership, school spirit, cheers, chants, dance, jumps, and appropriate stunting, while incorporating some opportunities for Stunt and other competitive experiences.

The coach will work collaboratively with both the Youth and High School Cheer programs to promote vertical alignment, consistent skills, expectations, terminology, and program culture. The ideal candidate will prioritize long-term athlete development and prepare middle school athletes for a successful transition into the High School Cheer Program.

Previous cheerleading coaching or competitive cheer experience preferred. Knowledge of Sideline/Traditional Cheer and basic competitive/STUNT components. Ability to work collaboratively with Youth, Middle School, and High School Cheer programs. Commitment to 6-12 vertical alignment and long-term athlete development. Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.

Ability to maintain high expectations while creating a positive, inclusive team culture. Ability to meet all district, MSHSAA, and required coaching/safety certifications. Applicants must apply online on the school website: www.rs-wolves.com (Go to About Us
