Job description
Beebe Elementary School (Grades 2�4) Position: Paraprofessional Location: Beebe Elementary School (Grades 2�4) Reports To: Building Principal Contract: As determined by district salary schedule and Board policy Position Summary Beebe School District is seeking a dedicated, caring, and dependable paraprofessional to support teachers and students in grades 2�4.
The successful candidate will assist with classroom instruction, provide individualized and small-group academic support, help maintain a positive learning environment, and contribute to the overall success and well-being of students.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assist certified teachers with daily classroom instruction and activities. Work with individual students and small groups to reinforce academic skills. Support students with assigned interventions and accommodations. Help prepare instructional materials and classroom resources. Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, cafeteria, playground, and during other assigned duties.
Foster positive relationships with students while promoting appropriate behavior and classroom expectations. Assist with classroom organization and record keeping as directed. Support students with technology and educational software. Maintain confidentiality regarding student records and information. Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to meet student needs.
Perform other duties as assigned by the principal or supervising teacher.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required. Must meet Arkansas Department of Education requirements for paraprofessionals (such as completion of required assessments or college credit, if applicable). Experience working with elementary-aged children is preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Demonstrate patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the school day. Ability to assist students in classroom and school activities. Desired Characteristics Student-centered mindset. Dependable and punctual.
