Spanish Teacher (TCH-0384) - Anticipated

REQUIRED CRITERIA: Valid NJ Certification for Teacher of Spanish and advanced low on OPI for speaking Knowledge of the New Jersey Student Learning Standards in ELA, NJ World Language Standards and ACTFL Proficiency Standards Working knowledge of Integrated Performance Assessments Good understanding of rubrics in both formative and summative assessment Flexibility to travel between buildings and levels, if necessary Strong English communication skills for parent communication Strong interpersonal skills (collaborating with colleagues, parents, students and administration on a regular basis) Enthusiastic advocate for world languages and ability to engage elementary students in differentiated activities Strong understanding of the Spanish culture and differences within Spanish-speaking countries Teacher toolbox that incorporates instructional strategies in all four modes and communicative approach at Novice to Intermediate language levels PREFERRED CRITERIA: AATSP, FLENJ membership encouraged Additional certifications in French and/or German Knowledge of Seal of Biliteracy Teacher with personal experience in/traveled to Spanish speaking country SALARY RANGE: $65,470 - $99,701
