Job Summary

Under supervision, to maintain assigned facility in a clean, orderly, and secure manner; and to do other related work as required.

Requirements

/ Qualifications •Education: Completion of formal or informal education sufficient to assure the ability to read and write at the level required for successful job performance. •Experience: Six (6) months of experience involved with the care and cleaning of buildings and facilities. Valid Class B with “P” endorsement, California Motor Vehicle Operator’s License preferred.

Examinations will be weighted 30% for written and 70% for oral.

Candidates must obtain a composite score of 70% or better to qualify for the eligibility list. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: A preplacement medical assessment/health screening, at office expense, is a condition of appointment after all other required job conditions have been met. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. This position will require part of the work shift to occur outside of the school business hours.

Must maintain proof of privately owned automobile insurance and possession of a valid California Motor Vehicle operator's license.Fingerprint clearance by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the California Department of Justice is a condition of appointment after all other required job conditions have been met. A copy of your DD-214 must be submitted at the time of application to receive veteran’s credit.

Must present verification of completion of Child Abuse Mandated Reporter training or obtain verification within six (6) weeks of hire and annually thereafter, as required by the California Child Abuse Neglect Reporting Act. This position has a probationary period of six months or 130 days in paid service, whichever is longer.
