Job Summary
As the Origin Agent/Destination Agent (OA/DA) Specialist, you’ll be the key point of contact for Unigroup booking agents, coordinating both origin and destination services for household goods and auto moves. You’ll manage all communications between agents, Hilldrup staff, crew members, billing, and customers to ensure every move runs smoothly.
Your role
includes confirming service requests, sharing agent availability, and responding to pricing inquiries—always following established procedures and timelines. Each day, you’ll reserve and monitor move services from start to finish, staying ahead of any delays or issues while keeping customers informed and supported throughout the process.
Your ability to work closely with both internal teams and external partners will be essential to delivering efficient, reliable service. You’ll also represent Hilldrup at industry events and conferences, helping you stay current on trends and grow your professional network. Supervisory Responsibilities: None Key Duties and Responsibilities Serve as the primary point of contact for Unigroup booking agency representatives regarding origin and destination services for domestic household goods or auto moves.
Reserve, confirm, and monitor requested services following established procedures and timelines. Liaise with customers to confirm move details and provide regular updates. Attend industry conferences and events to represent Hilldrup and stay informed of industry trends. Required Experience/Skills: Education/Work Experience/Certificates Two to four-year degree in a relevant field preferred Previous experience in operations coordination, customer service, or logistics preferably within the moving or transportation industry Skills: Customer Focused Collaborative Communicative Resilient Strive for inclusion of others People-person Microsoft Office Solution-finder Experience with Unigroup or similar booking systems.
Knowledge of domestic household goods or auto moving processes and terminology. Familiarity with billing and pricing processes in the moving industry. Physical requirements Sit for extended periods and perform computer/phone-based work for most of the day (typically 6–8 hours). Frequent use of hands/fingers for typing, data entry, filing, and handling paperwork.
Ability to travel domestically (by car/air) up to ~10–20% of the time and stand/walk for several hours while attending industry events or conferences. Clear verbal communication ability for extended phone and in-person conversations with agents, customers, and crew. Occasionally lift and carry items such as files, boxes, or promotional materials weighing up to 25 lbs.
