Surgery Scheduler

Columbus Community Hospital is looking for an experienced full-time surgery scheduler. This position requires experience in a clinical setting. The Surgery Scheduler is responsible for coordinating and facilitating the scheduling of surgeries ordered by the physician, insurance verification, obtaining prior authorizations, timely and effective communication with physicians, staff, outside organizations and patients.

Ensure timely processing and follow through of assigned tasks. Assist with scheduling pre-op and post-op appointments. Patient education in preparation for scheduled testing and procedures. Submit testing/surgery orders to hospitals. The Surgery Scheduler must have excellent customer service skills, superior communication both written and verbal.

Must be organized, responsible and team oriented. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
