Sr Product Engineer

Sr Product Engineer Location: Cicero, IL, 60804 Job Description We are seeking a skilled and motivated Sr Product Engineer to join our team in Cicero, IL. The ideal candidate will play a key role in the design, development, and improvement of our products, ensuring they meet industry standards, quality requirements and customer expectations.

Responsibilities

Serve as the technical authority for assigned product lines. Drive product innovation, cost reduction, and value engineering initiatives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, manufacturing, and quality assurance to develop and enhance products. Analyze product requirements and translate them into engineering specifications.

Conduct testing and validation of products to ensure performance and reliability and compliance with various codes and standards. Identify and troubleshoot product issues, implementing effective solutions. Support the manufacturing process by providing technical guidance and resolving production challenges. Document engineering processes, test results, and product changes.

Stay updated with industry trends and technologies to drive continuous product improvement.

• May be involved with industry code committees Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field. 4-8 years of experience as a Product Engineer or similar role. Strong understanding of product development lifecycle and engineering principles. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Familiarity with CAD software (Preferably Solid Edge) and product testing tools.
